Harper taps the glowing apple with one finger. Tink.
The apple’s light deepens, shifting from bright red to a warm, sleepy gold. Whummm. The little camp ripples. The bench stretches into a comfy, blocky couch. The half-wall folds higher, becoming a snug, low shelter around the hilltop. The lantern lifts itself, hanging from a curved arm of blocks, casting a soft circle of light.
Tiny pixel sparks float up like slow-motion fireflies, drifting over Harper’s head and fading into the square night sky. The breeze softens. The world feels wrapped in a quiet, gentle glow. Harper leans back on the new couch, pillow hugged close, eyes wide. “Okay,” Harper murmurs. “You’re full of surprises, Apple Block.”
