The square tree gives a tiny shudder. Plink. A single glowing apple block drops and lands right at Harper’s feet.

Harper crouches down, pillow tucked under one arm. “Whoa. Bonus loot,” Harper says. The apple block glows a soft, cozy red, pulsing like a slow heartbeat. When Harper picks it up—fwump—it feels warm and light, like it’s humming.

Tiny pixels drift off the apple and float into the air, forming a faint trail of red sparks leading over the top of the hill. Harper squints after them. “So you’re… directions?” The trail flickers politely, waiting. Harper smiles, tucks the glowing apple under an arm with the pillow, and steps toward the top of the cozy hill, following the calm, drifting sparks.
